How to choose a rivet belt for a plane
- belt length (measured using our method)
- belt width (approximately)
- number of "streams" (longitudinal protrusions on the belt)
- distance between streams (in some cases)
The length of the belt should be measured in the following way:
- wrap a "belt dummy" (not a stretchable thread, as in the photo) around both pulleys inside the groove. Mark the intersection of the ends of the thread with a thin marker and measure the length of the thread between the markers exactly in mm
- If the belt is torn, its length (not recommended)
